Swapping Slide-On Parts
Removing hood foam
Take a flathead screw driver and insert it on each side to pop the hot glue that we use to hold it in place. Use a hook on the sides to work the hood foam out of the hood so not to destroy it. There is an allen screw (3/32”) that holds the washer on place, take the slide on part out by pulling on it (muscle) Before putting the new part in, put a diagonal cut on the flange part of it, then insert it at the cut, rotate it until it's in the hood. Reinstall the washer and bolt/screw using rubbing and some muscle, pull the gripper off the chanel, there is an allen head screw (3/32”) holding the chanel onto the part, that the out, put the chanel onto the new slide on part, and replace the screw using rubbing alcohol. Slide the gripper back in.
